About Vance Algeria
Vance Algeria as a baby
Born July 12, 2004 in Coral Springs, Florida, Vance Algeria became a DJ at just 10 years old. Going by the stage name DJ Vance, Vance was inspired by music at a very young age, and by his father, who has been playing the drums long before Vance was born. Starting at a young age, Vance's father wanted him to find an instrument that he could play. His father had him try Drums to Piano to even Guitar, however it was hard to find an instrument that he wanted to play. Vance argued, "I don't know if I want to play an instrument." Later the two struck on a solid idea after Vance had mentioned something humorous, "Isn't DJing all of the instruments?" Vance's parents eventually started taking him to DJing lessons at a Sam Ash Music Store in Margate, Florida, where he learned about matching BPMs, mixing, timing, and many more techniques. His father shortly after bought him a Pioneer DJ DDJ-SX board, as well as an Apple MacBook Pro 2012 13-inch off of another family member for cheap, and then the journey began.

Most of the starting gigs Vance had gotten were charity events and family parties, as these were a perfect chance to practice skills at no cost to event planners. Later on through the years opened up even more opportunity for Vance, when he DJed his first middle school dance, wedding, sweet 16, and car show. Aside from these notable events were many private birthday parties and commemorative events. It wasn't long after his first few years of DJing that he started to get paid as a professional, while still offering pricing that is cheaper and more reasonable than many other DJs. With a range of gigs throughout Broward and Miami, Vance Algeria has tied countless people together with the variety of Pop, Country, Rock, EDM, and all other types of music.

Vance has and always has been a part-time DJ. While he was in middle school when he started, and now currently a Computer Scientist, he still manages to get in a couple of gigs a year. Aside from DJing, Vance enjoys gaming with friends and hanging out with family. He believes that spending time with family and friends is one of the most important priorities a person can have, as "we aren't going to be here forever, so we need to make the most of it while we can."

Vance is also inspired one day to play an instrument such as the guitar or drums, however he would prefer to get into the field of producing music as a DJ, one day making music like Zedd, Martin Garrix, or David Guetta. Another DJ who inspires Vance is Chris Luno, a known House music DJ & Producer, who at 22 years old is DJing at clubs and releasing his own music. Vance's two favorite music genres are House and EDM, as he claims "they can sometimes be very calming, and other times pump you up when you need it."

Vance says that the most important things in life are to never give up, be excited about things, and talk to people, and claims that if you never do these, life will be a lot more boring and less fun. He said if it weren't for his mom and dad, the opportunity of even getting into music would've possibly never happened, and that he is grateful he had the parents to show him this amazing opportunity of a lifetime.
